The new owners of Rockingham have appointed a new Chief Executive - racing driver, BRDC (British Racing Drivers’ Club) member and entrepreneur Peter Hardman.

Alfred Buller and his new partners Jersey-based investors, Grey Rock, have appointed Peter as Chief Executive following the resignation of Charlotte Orton, who has taken the decision to step down. She will continue to work alongside Peter to ensure a smooth handover.

As one of Britain’s most experienced international drivers, Peter is no stranger to the world of motorsport and brings a wealth of industry knowledge to the role.

Peter said: “I am very excited to be involved with Rockingham. Many years ago I actually raced at Rockingham (and won) but, coming back and seeing it today I had forgotten how big, impressive and diverse the whole facility is.

“Charlotte’s hard work and leadership skills have paid off as she leaves a sound legacy at Rockingham. I look forward to working with the excellent team she leaves and together driving the business forward.”

Represented by Stuart Wright, a motorsport enthusiast and former endurance racing driver, Grey Rock bought into Rockingham in March, as part of the acquisition of the Priors Hall development, securing the future of both businesses.

Stuart Said “This is a very exciting time for the circuit following the recent purchase by Grey Rock, and I am confident the venue is in safe hands with Peter, who will continue to reinforce Rockingham’s core values while helping the business to grow.”

Rockingham is one of the UK’s leading automotive testing and experiential venues. Under the new owners the core business will continue to focus on the circuit’s role within this industry supported by track days, motor racing and testing.
