Sebastian Vettel closes in on fourth F1 World Championship as Hamilton struggles in Korean Grand Prix

Sebastian Vettel is closing in on a fourth Formula One Driver’s World Championship, after running away with victory over both Lotus drivers in a dull Korean Grand Prix.
British Formula One fans woke up on Sunday morning to discover the rather unsurprising news that Vettel had dominated once again.
With 34 wins, he is only seven away from matching Ayrton Senna. The 25-year-old German is breaking record after record and of the last eight grand prix meetings, he has won six.
Having started ninth, Kimi Raikkonen stormed his way up to finish second and put the pressure on Vettel, while his teammate Romain Grosjean, who started third on the grid, grabbed the last podium place comfortably.
It was the second time Nico Hulkenburg, who drives for Swiss team Sauber, finished fourth – having matched that feat in the Belgium Grand Prix last season while driving for Force India.
And while Lewis Hamilton was unhappy with fifth, having started on the front row alongside Sebastian Vettel, he felt reassured that he finished ahead of Ferrari’s Fernando Alonso in sixth.
In doing so, Mercedes has closed the gap on Ferrari to just one point in the Constructors’ World Championship – vital if the team is to have a chance of finishing second and grab a larger portion of Formula One’s healthy pot of prize money.
