The new high-performance model will join the expanding Jaguar line-up on display that also includes 4x4 saloons and the F-TYPE sports car, which goes on sale this summer. Jaguar XJRWith a 5.0-litre supercharged V8 engine delivering 542bhp, the aerodynamic developments make the XJR the most focused, agile and responsive Jaguar XJ ever made.Jaguar says it will deliver supercar performance and 'assertive looks' while also providing a high standard of luxury to drivers and passengers.Adrian Hallmark, Global Brand Director for Jaguar, said: "The new XJR epitomises the three pillars of technology, performance and contemporary design which the Jaguar brand stands for in the twenty-first century, while delivering new levels of dynamic ability in a luxury saloon."Britons were lucky enough to see a taste of how Jaguar is reinventing itself, with the new XFR-S prototype (below) recently making its debut on the iconic Goodwood Hill.Jaguar XJRCapable of shooting from zero to 60mph in 4.4 seconds, the British-built XFR-S can hit a top speed of 186mph and is now available to order from £79,995.Mr Hallmark added: "I'm delighted that Jaguar is able to present the XFR-S in action for the first time in the UK, and that a Jaguar motorsport hero will be behind the wheel.
