Honda's 2014 Civic Wagon and next-generation 4x4 NSX supercar to wow in Geneva

SWINDON-based Honda will reveal a spectacular 4x4 supercar, along with an exciting-looking estate at the Geneva Motor Show next month. The concept Civic Wagon is a strong hint of the direction the manufacturer are hoping to take, with it's Star Trek rear lights covering the entire width of the car. A streamlined look and an integrated rear spoiler add a fresh and zesty interpretation in a saturated estates market. For those drivers dribbling at the thought of owning an extra-terrestrial car, a true eye-turner, it may only be a little over a year before they reach dealers. Being Honda's European bestseller, the Civic is a popular choice with families and is almost certain to attract eagle-eyed parents keen on acquiring an economical, spacious, safe and practical car. It is likely to benefit from Honda's lightest ever diesel-powered engine, the 1.6l i-DTEC, with CO2 emissions reported to be a low 95g/km. One car which will use this new British-built engine - exported all over the world - is the Honda CR-V. Available from Autumn 2013, it is a two-wheel drive that Honda says will 'deliver energetic performance, agile handling and low running costs for customers'. Meanwhile, Honda is to showcase an interior evolution of its next-generation NSX Concept - made by Acura, the car giant's luxury vehicle division. While the NSX's performance targets are a closely guarded secret, the 400bhp supercar will have a mid-mounted direct-injection V6 driving the rear wheels, with the front axle being driven by two electric motors, making it a four-wheel drive. It is likely to enter production in 2015 in America, although the UK is expected to be a growth market for Acura over the coming years.
